There are several ways to protect a water pumping station and the material assets that are in it from lightning. One of the easiest is to use metal tanks as natural lightning rods. There are buildings in the territory that require artificial lightning protection, and equipment that must be protected with the help of an SPD. It was just such a case that the ZANDZ Technical Center faced in one of its recent projects. We will study the solutuon we offered in detail.
The ZANDZ Technical Center performed lightning protection calculations for a horse-riding arena located on the territory of a sports and recreation complex. Livestock buildings necessarily require the right lightning protection system. In accordance with table 1 of AD 34.21.122.-87 they must be protected according to category III. In accordance with IS 153-34.21.122-2003, the object refers to ordinary with protection level III, the reliability of protection is 0.9.
