Generator protection

Electrical connection between the generator of wind turbines and the transformer station is most often performed by a line of voltage of 400/690 V with TN or IT grounding system. For such voltages, we offer specially designed SPDs. PowerPro BC TNC 50-440 / 690 represent surge arresters of Class 1+2, with high resistance to lightning currents (150 kA 10/350 ms). They provide a limit voltage in the main power circuit to the level of 2.5 kV.

LEUTRON also developed a proposal to provide generator protection of level II: EnerPro CST 440 (TN system) and EnerPro EC 750 FM TNC (IT-system).
