The company DEHN developed a special SPD BLITZDUCTOR® BVT RZD Typ1 for the Russian Railways. The device is designed for surge protection of signal lines in the systems that regulate and ensure the safety of movement of trains (signaling, centralization and blocking).
BVT RZD Typ1 - it is the arrester of the lightning current with protective components. The thermo-resistors with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) included into the device, limit the short circuit currents in power sources, which are under protection. There is a separate screw grounding terminal to which the grounding is connected. SPD DEHN BVT RZD Typ1 is an economical solution for the maintenance of railway safety
