The ZANDZ Technical Centre has received a request to calculate the grounding arrangement for a road tanker grounding point. Let's consider the solution offered by the technical center's specialists.
The activities have been performed according to:

GOST 12.4.124-83
Data provided for calculation:
Soil resistivity accepted for calculations is 100 Ohm*m.
Task:
It is necessary to calculate the grounding arrangement to protect from static voltage.
According to item 2.6.2 of GOST 12.4.124-84, the grounding arrangement resistance should be not more than 100 Ohm.
A set of measures ensuring compliance with the requirements to the grounding system is based on the following solutions:

a grounding arrangement is made using a 1.5 m copper-plated vertical grounding arrangement. Depth should be at least 0.5-0.7 meters;

it is connected to the grounding arrangement using clamp ZZ-005-064.
Calculation of a grounding arrangement resistance for 1 point:
Vertical electrode resistance:

Ом - Ohm
where ρ – is equivalent soil resistivity, 100 Ohm·m;
L is vertical electrode length, 1.5 m;
d is vertical electrode diameter, 0.014 m;
T is deepening;
, where t is the distance from the ground surface to the grounding arrangement, 0.5 m;
rated resistance of the grounding arrangement is 60,23 Ohm, which is less than the required value of 100 Ohm.
