Lightning strike became a reason of a fire at  Jim Beam warehouse in Kentucky

On July 2, during a thunderstorm in Kentucky, a major fire broke out due to a lightning striking into one of the warehouses of bourbon producer Jim Beam. As a result of the incident, about 9 million liters of bourbon were burned.

It is not known exactly whether the warehouses were equipped with lightning protection systems.
