The most dangerous lightning is when a person is caught in a large open space or in a forest – this is a well-known fact. It’s not so scary to be in a modern large city during a severe thunderstorm. Lightning dischargers are placed everywhere, tall buildings "take" the general force of nature. It's not all that simple, and, in fact, the modern metropolis is very vulnerable to lightning.
