This article considers the solution for the external lightning protection system of an administrative building with a multi-tiered flat roof, located in the Leningrad Region. The building has a multi-tiered flat roof. To protect such roof, it is convenient to use lightning arresters on concrete bottoms. They can be easily installed and do not require any excessive force or complex equipment for this.
The project includes: background data of the facility, description of the lightning protection system, protocol of calculation of the number of lightning strikes to the protected facility, calculation of resistance of the grounding arrangement, attachments, and specifications. The design is provided in DWG and PDF. The solutions provided in the design conform to GOST R 59789-2021, the EIC Rev. 7, RD 34.21.122-87, SO 153-34.21.122-2003, etc. This set of documents contains essential information for the designer and significantly facilitates his/her work on the design of the lightning protection and grounding for administrative buildings.
