Each country has its own regulatory documents for lightning protection, and they do not align with each other. The new article published at ZANDZ.com considers the specifics of the effective regulatory document of the Republic of Moldova, NCM G 02.02:2018 "Organization of Lightning Protection of Buildings and Structures", and compares it with the Russian regulatory documents.
The article also discusses the differences between the Moldavian document and RD 34.21.122-87 and SO 153-34.21.122-2003 in the following sections: scope, classification of the protected facilities, assessment of the need for the lightning protection (economic and technical), requirements to lightning arresters and grounding arrangements, methods for calculating the lightning protection.
