On May 15, a regular webinar for designers of lightning protection and grounding was held on the topic "Software for calculating the reliability of lightning protection of any object in 30 minutes". In the first part of the webinar, Professor Eduard Meerovich Bazelyan spoke about software for calculating the reliability of lightning protection with the justification of the proposed calculation method.
In the second part of the webinar, the grounding and lightning protection technician Denis Pozdnyakov presented a calculation example (in 2 versions: using high and low interception rods) of lightning protection for an object with a flat roof, for the preparation of which this software was used, and also he compared the results.
