When installing lightning protection, an important issue arises, i.e. how to maintain roof durability and water tightness. Drilling holes in the metal roof and walls to install holders may impair their integrity. Securing a holder using a self-tapping screw does not eliminate the corrosion and leaks at the points where the sheet metal was damaged. Rubber or polymer seals age and dry out due to UV and temperature drops, thus preventing the reliability issue.
We are happy to offer two new solutions in our product range:
1. ZANDZ ZZ-11950 set
- It is designed for the ZZ-11747holder.
- The set is made of stainless steel to ensure maximum corrosion protection and durability.
2. ZANDZ ZZ-202-095 set
- It is designed for the ZZ-202-003 holder.
- The set consists of zinc-plated parts which makes it more affordable while maintaining their durability and tightness
Each set includes a blind-end threaded rivet with the internal M6 thread and a screw with an internal hexagon.
Attachment sets are designed to be installed on any type of metal tiles, corrugated steel sheets, and sandwich panels. The maximum thickness of the attachment's metal sheet is 3 mm.
Installation steps:
1. A hole with a diameter of 9 mm is drilled at the location of the holder installation.
2. The rivet is threaded on the threaded rod of the riveter ZZ-515-560
3. The rivet is installed into the hole and is deformed using the riveter ZZ-515-560 thus providing tight alignment with the metal.
4. A screw used to secure the lightning protection holder is screwed into the rivet.
ZANDZ attachment sets provide tightness of the roof coating and preserve its service life.
