In June 2021, a fire occurred in one of poultry houses at the poultry farm "Ravis" near Chelyabinsk. The fire area was 3.8 thousand square meters. About 200,000 birds died. The company's owner noted that, in the CCTV video records, a double strike of the lightning into the building can be seen, and it caused the fire. Eighty-three fire fighters and 26 vehicles participated in the fire extinguishing.
There is no information on whether the poultry houses were equipped with the lightning protection systems. Most likely, they were not.
