At the upcoming webinar, we will calculate the grounding of high-voltage line supports. Power lines are one of the most frequently struck objects by lightning, so they must be protected by a lightning protection cable. The lightning current, when flowing into the ground, should not create unnecessary overvoltages leading to the overlapping of the wire insulation, therefore, the poles must be provided with proper grounding.
During the webinar, we will show the calculation of the grounding resistance of a high-voltage line support in soils with different resistivity. Consider the requirements for a grounding device in accordance with regulatory documents. We will pay special attention to grounding in complex soils, such as permafrost and stony, and show what materials should be used for each case.
At the end of the webinar, a special guest will speak - an engineer of the Test-energy project.
